Thanks to the generosity of EDF Renewables, The Center for Energy Education hosted a free solar technology curriculum training workshop for educators in Washington County, NC on July 9th and 10th at the Vernon G. James Research Center. Sixteen teachers attended the two-day session to learn valuable techniques for integrating solar education into their lesson plans. In addition, each teacher received a $200 stipend and a certification of completion. Post coverage of the event was written by Arthur Howell, staff writer for Roanoke Beacon newspaper.
