Renewable Energy Education Workshop for Teachers

The free 2-day teacher training program is designed for middle and high school science teachers and will be virtual. Teachers will gain a fundamental understanding of how renewable energy works and will receive hands-on kits they can use in the classroom providing learning activities for the students. The training program will demonstrate the relationship between renewable energy and STEM academic classroom studies. Additionally, teachers will have the opportunity to learn best practices that will be useful in classroom teaching.

The coursework includes an intro to Photovoltaic systems, solar energy issues, how to use the Solar Energy Exploration Kit, Solar Thermal Exploration Kit, and PV kits, and the teaching modules.
