Workforce Development

The Center for Energy Education (C4EE) is committed to serving communities by connecting and engaging its residents with educational, workforce development opportunities that renewable energy projects bring to their areas. Since 2017, C4EE has successfully trained 280+ community members who have graduated from the Utility-Scale Solar Construction Course and OSHA 10 training program. This training opportunity targets residents who are interested in pursuing a career in the solar industry.

Utility-Scale Solar Construction

This course includes training on Wiring, Racking, Mounting, and Small Tools & Measurements. These courses may also include OSHA 10 Certification.

The insights the course provides will give students a good starting point to become NABCEB certified for interested individuals.

Operations & Maintenance

This course equips students with operations & maintenance training of utility-scale solar and community solar farms.

Students will acquire the necessary skills to provide efficiency analysis, troubleshooting & diagnostics, as well as overall maintenance of components of solar farms.

Rooftop Solar Training

This course includes training on Ladder and Lift Safety, Fall Protection, PV Module Fundamentals, Wiring/ Electrical Fundamentals.
