Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Workshop for First Responders

The Center for Energy Education (C4EE) invites first responders to participate in an upcoming Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Workshop designed to strengthen safety, preparedness, and emergency response planning.
As battery energy storage systems become more common in communities across the country, first responders must be prepared to safely and effectively respond to incidents involving this rapidly developing technology. This workshop will explore the benefits of BESS, the planning process for local installations, and essential safety procedures for operating and responding to battery energy storage systems within a community.
