A spirit of celebration and achievement filled the halls of the Center for Energy Education (C4EE) as the 2nd annual “EDF Renewables Scholarship Award Ceremony” took place on June 7. This remarkable event was a testament to the dedication, hard work, and promise of three outstanding students who were honored for their exceptional accomplishments. _________________________________________________________________________

The ceremony marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the achievements of the recipients of the EDF Renewables Scholarships. With esteemed guests and partners in attendance, including our friends from the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce and Washington County Commissioner Ann C. Keyes, the event was a celebration of academic excellence and the power of partnership. _________________________________________________________________________

Congratulations are in order for the scholarship recipients: Dwayne B. from Washington County Early College High School and Janine W. and Machiya A. from Halifax County Early College, both within the Halifax County School District. _________________________________________________________________________

The presence of esteemed guests and partners underlined the significance of this occasion. We were privileged to have Amanda Mack and Laura Precourt, the dedicated project developers from EDF Renewables, as partners in this journey. Their support and commitment to fostering educational opportunities for promising students have been truly remarkable. _________________________________________________________________________

As these exceptional students prepare to embark on their journey to universities this fall, we offer our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. Dwayne, Janine, and Machiya, your hard work and achievements have paved the way for a bright and promising future.
