Community Engagement

The Center for Energy Education (C4EE) is a space where education, research, industry innovation, and workforce development combine to demonstrate excellence in renewable energy and create economic growth in the community.

C4EE is proud to create a presence and awareness for renewable energy in the Eastern and Midwestern United States that will further solidify the relationship between the renewable energy industry and its community members. Our reach extends to several states including North Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky.

  

Educational Programs

The Center for Energy Education offers a wide range of common core curriculum classes to raise awareness of renewable energy and its importance in the community.

Educational programs are for all ages, interests, and knowledge levels. Educational programs include Summer Camps, Renewable Energy Teacher Training, Public Officials Workshops, Online Learning and more!

workforce development

Workforce Development

C4EE is committed to serving members in the community, as well as re-entry individuals, by connecting and engaging its residents with educational, workforce training opportunities that renewable energy projects bring to their areas.

This training opportunity targets residents who are interested in pursuing a career in the solar industry. In partnership with state employment agencies and local community colleges, we provide the best educational curriculum and setting for the student.

Healthy Living

C4EE is committed to providing healthy living, educational programs, and public recreation areas for the community.

Healthy Living programs include Line Dancing Classes, Yoga Classes, Diabetes Prevention Education and Healthy Living Cooking Classes. We also build healthy living into our various programs.

The C4EE campus is also equipped with a community garden, a 10-station fitness walking trail, bike trail, soccer field, playground, and energy bike exhibit.

Business Spaces

The C4EE facility is open to business professionals and organizations as a meeting or event space.

Available spaces for rent include office cubicles, a spacious indoor classroom with a computer and projector, and an outdoor classroom with internet connection.
